Fat Loss For Moms
Fat loss for moms can be a very tough thing to accomplish. Having the responsibilities of all that comes with being a mother and somehow making time for yourself. What I will tell you though is you getting healthy and fit will help every aspect of your life. Do not neglect your health. Today’s story is that of an amazing mother of 6 that needed to get back to a healthy and fit place so that she could be everything for her family and feel good about herself again. She started at nearly 200 lbs and half of her weight was body fat. This puts her risk of health issues at a very high place. It was time for change and holy smokes did she do great. Hi, my name is Renee and I am 39 years young☺ I am married to my high school sweetheart and we will be celebrating 20 years in April. I am also the mother of six wonderful children, with the oldest being 19 and our youngest just turned 2. To say we lead a crazy, busy life is an understatement, but I would not want it any other way!
I was introduced to Hitch Fit in 2014 when my friend moved back to our hometown from KC. During that year, I did bits and pieces of her HitchFit workout plan and I did lose weight and got in great shape, but for some reason I did not stick with it.
Become A Fit Mom
As if life were not crazy enough, in 2016 my husband and I were deciding if we wanted to add to our family through adoption. We decided that it had to be now or never, so the process began. Finally, in 2018, we brought home our sixth child. He has been the best gift we ever could have asked for and was worth every headache and pain experienced during that time. Those two years were probably the hardest, most stressful years of my life, and during that process was when I noticed I gained the most weight.
Fit Mom Transformation
Fast forward to 2020, which came in with a whole new set of personal issues that left me at rock bottom. Life was stressful and my unhappiness about my weight led to me not feeling good about myself. I hated taking pictures and hated the way all my clothes fit. I hated feeling so down all of the time. Fat loss for Moms is tough. Then, a couple months into the year, I had to visit my doctor and after stepping on that scale, I was horrified. I had reached a weight I had not seen for 16 years and that was when I was 9 months pregnant with my first son. I knew I needed to change, and after several talks with my friend Jessica, she had finally talked me into taking this next step with her. We reached out to Diana and Micah and I am so thankful we did.
After receiving my program from Micah and deciding what my goals should be I knew it would not be easy. My workouts consisted of a lot of 5:30 mornings and way more late night runs. It was so hard to begin with, but guess what? After a few weeks, I really started to enjoy it. Most weeks I was right on track with my weight loss, but I did have a couple bad weeks and I remember Micah telling me, “You did not gain the weight overnight, so it will not come off that fast either.” This really helped my mentality. With each week, I got stronger, not only physically, but mentally as well. I looked forward to my workouts and my weekly check-in with Micah because of his encouragement and direction. A few things l learned during this process is you cannot be perfect…sometimes you are going to fall, but getting back up and back on the track is the key to pushing forward. You have to take the nutrition part very seriously, and believe me; this part is hard for me! Meal prepping and keeping the right foods around the house will always be necessary for me.
